Crow

Death, Magic, Trickster, Personal Transformation
As of late, I have been seeing crows everywhere. When I walked outside of my home one morning, I heard a, “Caa! Caa!” I looked up to see a crow perched at the top of my house looking upon me. To follow, they spent a few weeks in my trees. I thought for sure this can’t be good.
There are many stories of how the Crow is bad luck because it’s considered a bad omen to see a crow and death will occur. This could be the physical death as Crow carries the power of prophetic insight and even dark magic. I have heard from clients that they saw a crow the week before someone’s passing.

Crow is the guardian of ceremonial magic and healing. He is known in many shamanic traditions to those who use magic and have the ability to shift, manipulate or change the physical dimensions of the universe. Remember, we actually work in the spiritual realm before things manifest in to the physical.
Within the weeks to follow my encounters with Crow, I did our first online group healing. As I was drumming into the crystal cave, Crow showed up in the middle of the circle with his wings wide open, landing powerfully and strong.
Crow guided our requests and helped changed the level of consciousness to bring in a new reality. He helped dispel “dis-ease” and illness within ourselves. This is how I see Crow the most. When he comes in, it’s time for magic. He will raise and shift your conscious to a new level. He gives you courage to explore the darkness (death) and offers the magic to help you bring whatever you are dealing with. Because how powerful our healing circle was, I see Crow as an positive wizard more than a bad omen coming. Crow always has the ability to see beyond illusions that we can get stuck in from ourselves.
A fun story. I did a shape shifting meditation into the crow after our healing circle. Crow took me in the air and as I flew with him on his back, he could pin point exactly our location and like a target coming in to hit a bullseye. As quickly and precise as he went in, the scenery changed into misty clouds. Crow was still on point with direction with precision. I came out of the experience and thanked Crow. A few days later, forgetting that I shape shift with Crow, I opened my door to walk into the hall. All of a sudden I stopped and let out a big, “Caa! Caa!” like Robin Williams in the Hook movie. I started laughing because it was so unexpected for me! Crow was reminding me our work is still continuing.
Overall when I think of Crow, I think of transformation between death and life. As I shed my old ways of thinking and stepping into a new “me”, I know that Crow can help with this transition. While death brings endings metaphorically and in our physical world, Crow can pin point a new creation with us. Anything that is leaving your world from leaving a job, relationship or in my case, purchasing a new home – Crow can bring in the magic to your world.
