Child: Orphan

The orphan child experiences isolation and being disconnected. Interestingly, as a whole Universe we are One, yet we are separate. We divide into groups, segregated from our differences, and yet we yearn for acceptance. This is a larger scale of course.
Children who have “dysfunctional” family situations may feel like the orphan child from a young age. They will have developed independence early on since they have few adults to depend upon. Because of this independence they may have a hard time respecting authority. It may ruffle their feathers when they have to do something or even working for someone!
Orphans are aware of their pain on some conscious level. Trust and abandonment issues may also stem from this archetype.
SHADOW ASPECT:
The orphan child is always yearning for connection. This may come through as a deep connection in family, but also a place of belonging and perhaps also a soul group. They may choose groups to collaborate with even though that group doesn’t ultimately serve them.
They may feel as if they don’t belong in some way. They usually find their way through trial and error verses intuition and guidance. Some orphans tend to pick up another archetype that is the VICTIM, depending upon how they use interpret this archetype.
LIGHT ASPECT:
Orphans can be definitely courageous in my book! They can actually transform into an amazing hero archetype because of their confronted demons. They are usually fighters to move the energy out. Orphans usually pick jobs to help others because it brings meaning into their life. They know because they have been there. They fit nicely into roles where injustice is being portrayed. Orphans may seem as outcasts, people who don’t fit in, but they still pursue social connections, especially where justice needs to be served. This can be used as a light aspect since they are likely to be the underdog and they want to “flip the world around” so the world can in return see the light too.
Orphans can be seen as hardworking. They are always on alert to see if they trust another person or not due to experiences from childhood. Therefore, they can be really good at keeping the tribe safe. They will teach outsiders how to survive by the reciprocation of the decisions they make.
