What’s an Earthbound Spirit? Stories from my healing space.
Some people call earthbound entities also negative entities. But here lies a myth. In truth, not all earthbound entities are negative. They are people just like me and you.
People who have flaws, fears, judgements and are scared. Earthbound refers to the spirit staying close to the earth plane. Some reasons of why they choose to stay is because it’s familiar to them or they want to stay with someone who is in our physical dimension, but there are many other reasons. Addiction, not ready to die, dying suddenly are just a few more reasons to name them.

One of the first sessions I ever channeled was for a son who lost his mom. He was grieving for years and came to see me for a session. His mom was excitedly awaiting to speak to him. In fact, I felt her as soon as I got in my car to drive to work!
During this session, I held his mom’s spirit for a whole hour! Let me tell you, it takes a lot of energy for them to come down to my level and for me to climb up to theirs but she kept talking! She was telling him about the time that she saw him give a speech in front of his company, how he blows kisses to her photos and so on. Then my guide said that she didn’t go to the light yet. When I asked why, my guide told me she wanted to stay here and be with her son. She had a strong attachment to her child and his grief was so strong she didn’t want to leave. Does this mean she was a negative entity? No, but she was considered earthbound.
Many of the spirits I interact with are people who are confused. I once had a “hitchhiker” on a clients aura who got dropped off at my studio. Can you imagine? I was wondering what he was doing there and so did he! He didn’t understand what was going on or even what year it is. The truth is, many of them don’t. They don’t realize how long they have been dead in our time/space/reality.
One night I had a spirit visit me who was scared that I actually saw him. I don’t know who freaked out more, me seeing him or him seeing me! ha! I found out the last thing he remembered was seeing me after a car accident. As he put it, “My light was so bright, he followed it.” So I was stuck with an earthbound spirit in my aura.
I tell you this to show you that not all earthbound spirits are bad or negative. They are people just like we find in this world now. They choose not to cross over because of various reasons. Some of them have lack or awareness that they passed on, some have guilt, shame, fear of judgement and some even have unfinished business.
They can be found on people and in different locations. You don’t need to go to a cemetery to meet a person who has crossed over, BUT there are some there! .
I signed up to be a Spirit Crossing Advocate, this job is not for everyone and I highly recommend you to know what you are doing before saying you want to! I realized the more my light shined bright (which this is a healers trait) the more people were guided to see me. Soon I had a handful of spirits in my aura and I didn’t know what to do! My purpose has always been to help people see their own inner light. I do this for clients and I do this for spirits who have crossed over. I feel we all need to go together and if I can help them, then I am helping myself and everyone.
But in general, there are also many reasons why you shouldn’t interact with the earthbound spirit. For starters, they can be very taxing on your energy field, draining to say the least. They can hang around for years too. When I transition a spirit to the light, I always pull in compassion, love and comfort. Most earthbound spirits are located on your aura but if you are on the same frequency as them (more about this in my workshop in March) they can latch onto your chakra. The best way to tell if you have an entity is to really know yourself. If something is out of character than it could be an entity.
For example, one day I was speaking with my family around the table, laughing and sharing our day. Of out the blue, I spoke Chinese. Let me tell you – I don’t know Chinese! I had identified a new earthbound spirit around me.
The more you understand yourself, the more you will know what spirits are around you. High vibrational energies will feel really good – like angels. They tune into God’s light and it feels amazing. Earthbound spirits don’t feel high vibrational. They are lower on the energy list…a lot lower.
